Being a small business owner ourselves I would have my staff trained that if the power went out to get the ice from the automatic ice despencer, put it in coolers and put bottles of water in it at the very least. Also, I wouldn't charge full price when I can only offer 1/4 of my services. Lastly, I know business insurance covers expenses lost due to unpredictable weather or other issues- that's the point of being covered.
The building needs a little TLC but the staff were super friendly and helpful and the rooms clean and well stocked. The pet friendly room had access to the inside hall and the outside which was great. I would stay there again.
I made a trip to the front desk around 6am since no one had been by to notify us what to expect and I requested cold bottles of water or just a large cup of ice. They had NOTHING. They offered NOtHINg!
Rooms are clean. Service is great. Staff is polite and helpful. Breakfast is wonderful.
Won't make this mistake again. Stay at LaQuinta and Fluffy stays for free.
Disappointed. Place is advertised as dog friendly - pay them $30.00 and they will let Fluffy stay. Tell them that you will go down the street where Fluffy can stay for free and they tell you no refund.
The location is beautiful. Seriously should take the scenic root if driving through that area. The motel was nice room smelt a little funny needs a few updates but the staff was wonderful so all in all it was a really nice stay
AND that's when our date night went down hill.
A storm blew thru only a few hours after check-in. We understand completely out of control of the Hotel and ours. We went without power from 2am-9am. No air. No lights. HOT. No TV to check weather during storm. No phone to contact front desk. Miserable.
My wife and I secured a babysitter and slipped off for a date night. First one in months. We enjoy the Ozark area and ended up stopping around 10:30 pm in Mountain Home for the night. Check in went fine. The late shift lady was very nice and perky for late night. We were excited to just spend quality time together and relax in the clean room, king bed.
When I got back to the room, where we are now waiting for water to heat up, my wife told me to call the front and request a partial refund because we could have slept in the car and been more comfortable and saved the $98 we paid for the room. They said they couldn't do that. I then requested them at least buy or fix a late breakfast. They couldn't do that either without contacting the owners. So now we are missing our morning plans to wait on hot water to warm before we go buy breakfast. We never even got an "I'm sorry" just "no, can't do that.. not that either."
Power came back on close to 9am. They never fixed the complementary breakfast. As soon as power came back on I requested some juice (wife's a diabetic) they said they didn't have any and breakfast was over at 9! (BUT they never had it before 9 either).
For all these reasons we are truly disappointed that our date night ended up being in a sauna hotel room, where we had to cancel our morning river excursion, and so miserably tired we not looking forward to the three hour trip back home.
